AWESOMENESS HAS OCCURED!!!

So, as I'm getting ready for Cosplay Day at Kinokuniya, I see that I have a missed call from Dylan and a voice mail. Dylan NEVER leaves me voice mails, so I immediately check it. He just told me to call him back because he had awesome news. I call. He tells me a short story of how he was bored and decided to check on when the new Scott Pilgrim graphic novel comes out. He then see a very interesting picture of my friend Lyndon as Capt. Falcon and my back in my Ramona cosplay. The caption above it read "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL?". I screamed for joy when I heard this! "Holy crap, the creator of Scott Pilgrim is looking for me?!" I exclaimed with delight. I told Dylan to send the pictures that he took of me immediately. The pictures looked good on Dylan's camera, but the actual photos aren't great. One is a great pose, cool dark light, but blurry. In the other one, there is great light, great pose, but my body looks really odd and blobby. My shirt also looks like it had been through hell (so wrinkly V_V). I left a post on O'Malley's LJ. Hopefully he'll respond.

Oh, here's the link to the pictures.

http://www.cosplay.com/costume/167702/

Neat little test I found

I found this cool little test while I was looking for pictures on Google. It was from somebody's livejournal. It can be amusing. I was an Elf.

What type of Fae are you?

Ok, I feel really bad for Keith. Cain should have waited til after the challenge to rat him out. I was really impressed with what his team mates did. That outfit was great. I hate Angela, but I did love that little jacket. I would definitely pick that up.

Rest in Peace Batman

At around 8 o'clock this morning, Batman was struck down by accident by my mother and shattered on our tile floor. He now joins the Riddler in that big place where broken novelty glasses go in the sky. It's funny. We were just talking about how Batman was still in great shape; no chips or stratches. We drank together only yesterday, but alas, someone placed Batman to close to the egde of the table before we went to bed last night. Batman, we will never forget you!

I'm looking on eBay for replacements. I've found one thing that says that they're new and the user rating is 99.3%. I also found one that comes with an extra Riddler glass, but he describes some residue on the bottom and says that it's cleanable. Sounds kinda gross.

Jewelry

Well, I went to my uncle's house for a beginers jewelry lesson. He was very good and I learned a lot. He gave me a lot of stuff too, which was very nice of him. I just wished I remembered how to use it, lol. I might be going back next weekend. He gave me a little homework assignment. I have to design something with a latch or a hook... maybe like a bracelet. I'll have to plan something out. I can't believe that school starts in 28 days!!!!!! Holy Shit my summer is GONE!!! I wasted it doing nothing but sitting on my ass! I should really try to get all of my friends together for at least a day. Maybe meet in the city or the Palasades mall. I never got my liscense either, Shit! And I still haven't beated Dragon Quest, FF6, Kingdom Hearts, or Dark Cloud. Sigh...... I hate the end of summer, it's so depressing.

Project Runway Episode 3

I really liked this challege. It was so cute!! I loved Uli and the little blonde girl's designs. They really got into it. I think the jugdes went easy on that guy who couldn't finish because it was his birthday. I saw a Welsh Corgi there and immediately thought of Ein. If I was there and chose that dog, I think I would designed something that looked like Spike, lol. Kieth is a very good designer. He just knows it to well and puts it above everyone. I hate when creative people are jerks. It's really sad.

I might go to Borders tomarrow and check out Tale of Genji. I hope it's good. If it's not, I'll pick up Bleach 7.

EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Horray!! The Tale of Genji comes out tomarrow!!!! I'm very excited. I've been having kind of an exciting yet stressful week already. I saw Carissa on Sunday and we had a great time together. It was like old times! I also got this big folder from FIT this week about registration. Holy crap, it's scary but exciting. I've also started drawing again. Right now, I'm working on this Kingdom Hearts fan art. I forgot how much fun drawing is when you're not under pressure. I want to start my Riku costume, too. I have a really good idea for the wig. The wig that I have now is just to short and not the right look for Riku. I'm going to make the wig out of fake fur. I can make it spikey and layered like Riku's hair easier that way.

Tale of Genji!!!!!!!!!!!

Project Runway Episode 2

This one was kinda interesting. Although, I can live without all of the drama crap that went on between Angela and that other guy... can't remember his name at the moment. The challenge was interesting and I really liked the winning dress. All of the other dresses were pretty, but didn't seem like pagent dresses. I felt really bad for Milan. I know that he kinda missed the point of the challenge, but Angela didn't even do anything. I don't know. And after that really sad story about him and his mother, damn!! And I hated that wierd thing Angela said: "Oh, I don't sketch." How the f**k do you show people what you want if you don't sketch!!!??? That just pissed me off for some reason. I liked Uli's dress, too. It was very pretty.

Holy Crap, What a Storm!

Ok, the storm we had yesterday night was crazy. Me and my brother we watching this movie that one of his friends lent him at work. It was called 100 Girls (yeah, I know, sounds like a porno, was a little bit like a porno, but it actually had a good storyline and was almost feminist). Anyway, we were watching this movie and all of a sudden we hear this big crash outside. We get up, open our front door and see that a large tree has just crashed on our front lawn, hitting my brother's, dad's, and mom's cars. The tree even knocked off the chimney to our woodstove. Luckly, their cars are ok, but it was kinda scary to see that. I also wonder who we're going to get to fix our woodstove chimney. We just might need a time machine for that repair job. It's an antique! I heard the Scarsdale and White Plains were hit hard. I was talking to the Con Edison guy who came to fix our power lines and he said that a tornado probably hit them. Trees and telephone poles were cracked in half, not blown over like the tree that hit me. He said that a thunderstorm could never do that on it's own.

Project Runway tonight!!

I AM BORED

Holy crap, am I bored. I have nothing fun to do and it's to hot to sit in my room to play video games. Although, I might just do that anyway. I can't wait till the 26th. There's a manga coming out by one of my favorite artists, Yoshitaka Amano. It's called the Tale of Genji, which most historians call the first novel ever written. It sounds interesting and kinda sexy. Apparently, Genji likes women just as much as Zeus, so a lot of the stories are about him and his many lovers. It's published by Dark Horse, so it might be a little graphic for my taste. Plus, it's very expensive ($25.95!!!). But, I am very interested to check it out and hopefully buy it. I've always liked Amano's work. I used to love to sneek into my brother's room and look at the intrustion booklet from his Final Fantasy 3 game (which is really FF6). I loved to flip through the pages and look at Amano's work. It was only till about 3 year's ago that I finally discovered the name of the man who's art work I used to look at as a kid. I will hopefully turn my Terra costume into one of his drawnings. My costume lookes so boring compared to other Terra cosplayers. It would even look better if I put a design on the dress. I either need to find a similar fabric with the design I need or I need to find a way to color in the flowers on my dress. Damn, I wish I found better fabric. It's funny. I walked around in the city and I couldn't find any asian looking fabric with a design on it. So, I guess this was the best I could do. I also need to figure out how I'm going to do my orgainization coat and my keyblade. I need a REALLY long zipper. I also need to find a good picture of it. Hmmm.... I think I'll look for that now. Later!

My placement exams for FIT are tomarrow!!!! I'm kinda stressing over it cuz I don't want to be in a "Math: Let's Try Again" class. And I'm not allowed to use a calculator!!! This is very bad!!! I don't remember how to divide and mulptiple!! I really hope that I'm exempt for my english placement. I really don't want to be there taking a test for 4 hours. (2 hours for math, 2 hours for english). I really want to have some time to myself to walk around the city. I want to walk around my neiborhood and look for all of the jewelry stores. I also want to check out what manga midtown comics has. Maybe I'm pick up Bleach 7 or maybe something else that strikes my fancy. Hmmmmm.......

Well, the only reality show that I watch has finally started up again. There were some interesting designs for the first challenge. I like the dress with the red bows in the back. That was cute. Oh,and the white frilly one michael did. I liked that one a lot too. The designers this year all seem to be kinda bitchy. It's like a room full of Santinos, but they lack his interesting designs. I don't really see a lot of promise in this group. Almost all of them think that they're hot shit. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'M BACK BABY!!

I'm back from my two week vacation from the New Jersey Shore. Now I'm back to my life and my placement tests for FIT are this Friday. I have to find something really fashionable to wear and decide whether I want to walk or take a busses or subways. Hmmmm. Anyway, I'll talk about my vacation alittle. It was very strange. The weather was so annoying. If the water was warm, the air was cool on the beach so it kinda killed your need and want to swim. When the tempurature outside was 90 degrees, the ocean tempurature was so cold!!! I'm talking 57 here, which is so cold that it makes your legs hurt. We ended up swimming in the bay, which can be nice but not when you get pinched by little crabs and stug by jellies. Not fun. I have a lot of new jewelry, which always makes my happy and I bought a pre owned episode one of Bubblegum Crisis on VHS for 27 cents at this little book store. What a bargain!! I spent the forth of July on the beach watching amature fire works, which were very good this year. Oh, and I finaly got my pictures developed from Anime Boston. They came out pretty good, for once. And I heard from my beloved G-Rock Radio station that one of my favorite bands, Razorlight, has a new song!! I really hope they come out with another album, their music is very soothing to me. I don't think there are any alternative radio statons left in New York. That pisses me off so very much. Since I've been back, I've been playing a lot of Final Fantasy 6 and worrying about all of my FIT stuff. I still can't figure out how to set up my email. Curses! I don't know what else to talk about. Later!!

Vacation

I'm going on my annual 2 week summer vacation tomarrow so I won't be able to update my journal. I hope the weather will change for the better while I'm there. Apparently, it's going to rain like hell all next week. Sigh. But that's why my parents go down for 2 weeks, just in case on week is super crappy. I must remember to bring my gameboy or die of boredom! Oh, and I bought Black Cat volume 3 yesterday! I'm trying to savor it and not read it too fast. Now that I'm going to a different school, I won't be able to read as much manga anymore. I saw Saiyuki 4 Reload after I bought Black Cat. It made me think of my friends, which made me kinda sad. I should probably make a list so I can keep track of ALL of the stuff I was reading in school, like Fruits Basket, Hana Kimi, Immortal Rain, Genbu Kaiden, Eden, ummmm, damn, I'm forgeting!! I'll have to start emailing my friends and asking them. Oh, there are some new mangas that I want to check out now, Pet Shop of Horrors (supposed to be kinda like Tarot Cafe), Claymore (looks kinda cool), and Death Note. Hmm. I haven't been to the Tokyopop website in ages. I think I'm going to check it out right now. Later!

P.S. Oh, and I finally beat Dran in Dark Cloud. I'm so dumb. He shots frickin' fireballs!! Use an Ice Weapon!!! Not a holy one!! DUHHHHH DUO!!!!

Searching for Pictures

Well, I've been searching for pictures of myself on the Anime NEXT 2006 memories page. So far, I've only found one of my Ilpalazzo pictures. How come when other people don't smile in their pictures, they look cool and in character? How come when I don't smile, I just look pissed? I hate how unphotogenic I am. Still no pictures of Terra though. Sheesh! Allwell, at least I have pictures of it. I just hope that they're good. I was going to do Dante from Devil May Cry as my next cosplay, but I'm having second thoughts. Hmmmmm.... Kingdom Hearts is still extremely popular. I think I will go as Riku. I have a white wig, but it doesn't really look like his hair. I think there's a way to restyle the wig I have. It gives instructions, but I'm kinda scared to ruin it. It was pricey (for me) so I really don't want to go look for another one. Hmmm. I'll have to search for a site that will give me some good tips. I could ask Fred, but he actually makes his own wigs, so I'm not sure if he will know. Party City sells wigs for only $15, but I don't think they are of good quality. I once bought a cheap wig like that for my Buffy halloween costume. I needed to buy a hat to cover the top because it showed all of my hair under it. Not a good wig. If I'm going to do Riku, then I really want to make his sword, the Soul Eater. No one ever does his sword. They all do his evil Keyblade. I guess I could do paper mache, but I don't even know how to. And it might look really crappy. Maybe I could find a way to make a stuffed one. Yeah... maybe make it all out of shiny fabric and wires. Hmmm.....

Anime NEXT 2006

Well, the con is over. I had fun with my friends. Although, me and my good friend from school kind of kept on leaving each other. It was wierd. I just wish she told me that she was going to leave Sunday. I was by myself for a while after John and Adam left. I watched InuYasha in the other hotel til my parents came because it wasn't that long of a walk. I was so hot in my Ilpalazzo costume. Not a good thing to wear on a 95 degree day. Other than that, I had a great time. My costumes went over a little better at the con. I even met other Final Fantasy 6 cosplayers! I was so happy not to be the only one. My Ilpalazzo costume was popular too! People who didn't even know who I was wanted my picture! To bad it broke at the end. It was fun to be hailed! I still have to search for pictures that other people took of me. Apparently, my friend's boyfriend was practically molested by a Kyo fan girl. I felt so bad for him! Fan girls are so crazy! There was also this really bad Sakura cosplayer that I kept on talking to on Saturday. She was kinda cool. I tried to talk to her Sunday, but I ended up talking to John more. On Sunday, I went to this really LONG panel called Square Enix and You. I was great to be in a room full of crazy Final Fantasy nerds just like me. It was great. I also kinda just walked in to this panel on Saturday. I got to see the girl who did the voice for Haru Hara Haruko. She was a very nice person. Apparently, she's also doing some voices for FF12. There was still a huge amount of Naruto cosplayers, especially Sakura. I don't get it. The show is not that great!!! There weren't a lot of Cloud cosplayers or anyone really from Final Fantasy. There were so many at Anime Boston. I really don't know what else to say. Maybe I'll put some pictures up. Later!

Ilpalazzo Costume

Well, I'm almost done with my costume and it looks awful. I mean really bad. The headband is terrible and the shoulders are even worse. I'm starting to consider not wearing the armour. My costume may look worse that this guy.... http://lisa.rickho.com/2005axsat29.jpg
Well.......I won't look as creepy as him.

Here's a picture of Ilpalazzo without his armour and cape....http://www.anime-france.info/images/ilpalazzo_kabapu.jpg

The Count Down Continues!

EEEEEEEEEE!!!! Anime NEXT is almost here! And I still don't know if Nick and Nicole are going to drive me there Saturday!!!!!! GRRRRRRR!!! Nicole!!! Why haven't you gotten back to me yet!!!!!???? And I still don't know where my earings are!!!!!! Crap, I would like to let my parents sleep a little bit. Crap! I have to get my mom a birthday present soon and my dad a better father's day gift than a frickin' flashlight (my dad's so wierd, that's what he really wanted). And I still have to find my mom a green and brass colored necklace and/or a book by Christopher Moore called It's a Dirty Job. I wonder where I can find some nice jewelry like in the city, but in Westchester. Hmmm, Maybe Berlington Coat Factory. They actually have some nice stuff, so don't knock it. Later!

It's Almost Here!

Anime NEXT is this weekend! WOOOOOO!!!! I still have to finish my Ilpallazo costume, but it will be done. I look so wierd with white hair. It makes me look kinda tan. You have to see it cuz it's hard to explain. I couldn't find little yellow glasses, but I did find little red ones. It was so hard to find a pair of glasses that are little because the style right now is big. Fashion was against me this year. I also improved my Terra costume. The shoulder straps shouldn't fall off anymore. I used buttons instead of little fasteners so it should hold up. Nick and Nicole haven't said anything about my earings, which is kinda annoying. I also want a sword, but I don't think I have time to go back into the city and go to Ricky's. Maybe I should though. I would like a sword and I need some big, but lite, red beads to make the earings again. Crap, there I go again. I keep on obsessing over my Terra outfit. I must focus on Ilpallazo! Speaking of that, I have to end this so I can get to work. Later!

Poo! I can't find pictures of me at Anime Boston. I see pictures of Celes and Rydia from FF 4, but not me..... But! I did find this http://forums.cosplay.com/archive/index.php/t-11337.html

I don't know how to respond to this person. I just want to post a big shout out to him/her saying, "It's me!!! I am the Terra you're searching for!" but I don't know how to join this site or respond. This makes me very sad. I even looked at this subject in the Anime Boston forums called, "Rarest Cosplay" and no one mentioned me! I know people recongized me because they told me so and said I had a great costume! Darn, were are you people! Where is that Celes and Rydia I took pictures with? Where's that Duo I chated with for a bit? I put so much work into that costume. GRRRR!! Where's the love????

Anime Boston

The pros and cons of my day at Anime Boston:

Pros:
1. Boston is a cool city.
2. Cosplaying in Pizzaria Uno was fun.
3. Some of the cosplayers were very original and good.
4. The Haynes Convention center was HUGE!
5. Descent stuff to shop for (Ichigo plushies!!! so cute!!!!)
6. The videogame room had this really cool Turn Table game and it played cute J-pop songs.

Cons:
1. We had to get up at 4 in the fucking morning.
2. Boston is a long trip.
3. My friend and her boyfriend kept on making out with each other in front of me. It was kinda awkward. I felt like I was disturbing their alone time and that they really didn't care that I came along.
4. My dear friend could not come with us.
5. My costume kept on falling apart. I would be talking to someone cool and then I'd hear *snap* *pop* and my shouldstrap unsnapped. I had to keep on re-attaching them.
6. My feet really hurt in my spike heel boots. And the heel isn't that big!
7. Steve Blum (the guy who does the voice for Spike, Tom of Toonami, Mugen, some guys in Digimon, Zabuza, and many other characters) was only doing an autographing session and not a panel discussion, which was what I was hoping for. I don't really care about signatures.
8. They really didn't have anything planned for Friday. I was also hoping to go to this Philosphy of Final Fantasy panel, but it wasn't even on the schedual even though it was written in the program guide.
9. It was really humid that day and hot as hell.
10. To many Advent Children Cloud cosplayers and non of them were good or real Final Fantasy fans.
11. Bad discounts on manga and you had to pay tax!
12. I spent a lot of money.
13. The gaming room was really tiny and had some wierd-ass games.

That was my day.
